Plan a CCTV camera in 3D.

Put the camera in a yard, a warehouse, in front of a shop entrance or at a petrol station. Pull the sliders for distance, mounting height and resolution and look at what arrives at the target. What you see there has exactly as many pixels as your camera delivers at that spot. The pixel density in px/m and the quality level reached to DIN EN IEC 62676-4 stand beside it.

And once the spot is set, press “Camera from the catalogue”. cctvfinder then calculates every model against exactly this distance, this height and this object width, and sorts them by what meets the task. That is the part everyone else does by hand, across data sheets.

The table below lists the seven levels of the standard with their typical application. It falls into two groups: the lower three (LPDO) belong to wide-area and perimeter surveillance, the upper four (HPDO) to tasks that need far more image detail. The entries of “Surveillance target” carry the same colours: orange for LPDO, green for HPDO.
